To the right is my personal narrative. It was written in a nontraditional format. Instead of telling stories from my life in a connected, chronological order, I chose to create an encyclopedia styled work. I used snapshots from many different experiences, people, and places throughout my life to create a story. Please enjoy, The Encyclopedia of my Life.

My next work comes my poem anthology. This poem is very special to me because it is about my Grandma Kay who passed away a few years back. It was inspired by the poem 13 ways to look at a blackbird, because there were so many different aspects of my life that she effected.

This poem was inspired by my girlfriend of two years, Renee. She and I have a long distance relationship at the moment, so whenever I get the chance to see her we are constantly holding hands - no matter where we are or what we are doing. I love her and I love holding her hand throughout my life, so I decided to write a sappy, gushy, over the top in love poem about it. Also included is a short recording of the poem being read by myself.

The first piece that we all had to write in Creative Writing was a piece titled What is Creativity? That will be my next shared piece, and I hope you can see through this piece how much my skills have grown in the past few weeks.

My favorite part about my room, maybe even my life, is my bed. I am so undeserving of such a beautiful bed, but my parents both work for Art Van Furniture, so I get some perks. I really enjoy this poem because it is comical. When we first started the poetry unit I assumed all poems had to be deep and meaningful, but I love how some poems are simply about how much I love my bed.

Since I am a huge nerd, I wrote a poem about Bilbo Baggins. My love for Bilbo has only grown throughout the years. The Hobbit was my first favorite book - and this was after reading all of Harry Potter. I went to all of The Hobbit movie opening nights, and they only got more and more impressive. In summary, I love Bilbo and he deserves more than just this one poem. I'll probably write more about him later on in this course.

When asked to write a fiction story, I chose to write a fairy tale. This is a tale of a daughter who travels throughout her world to find a cure for her father's sickness. During her journey she encounters lies, magic, and darkness. Please enjoy, The Tale of the Saw Miller's Daughter.
